Job Title: Health and Safety Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Health and Safety Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and clients on our construction sites. This includes developing and implementing safety policies, conducting regular site inspections, and investigating incidents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and take corrective action.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees and contractors on health and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure safety is integrated into project planning and execution.
  • Monitor and report on safety performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in health and safety in the construction industry.
  • Post-secondary education in occupational health and safety or a related field.
  • Previous experience with Certification of Recognition (COR) and Safety Group (IHSA) programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
