The Role: Drywall & Painting TechnicianAs a Drywall & Painting Technician at On Side, you'll play a vital role in restoring damaged properties to their former glory. You'll be part of a dedicated team that works collaboratively to deliver high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.
What You Bring:- Proven experience working in construction environments, demonstrating proficiency with tools and techniques.

As a Drywall & Painting Technician, your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks, including:
- Measuring, cutting, and installing drywall sheets with precision.
- Removing old or damaged drywall efficiently and safely.
- Installing metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and ensure durability.
- Filling joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks using trowels and broad knives for a smooth finish.
- Taping and embedding joints to create seamless transitions between drywall panels.
- Applying various texturing techniques to achieve desired finishes.
- Preparing work areas by ensuring proper site protection and cleanup.
Painting Responsibilities:
- Accurately estimating the quantity of paint required based on surface measurements, scopes, sketches, and work orders.
- Removing existing coatings using appropriate methods such as solvents, heat, sanding, wire brushing, or water and abrasive blasting.
- Preparing surfaces for painting by cleaning, filling nail holes and cracks, and sanding rough spots to ensure a smooth and even finish.
- Applying undercoat primer or sealer before painting, or applying sizing before wallpapering, as required.
- Matching specified colors using premixed paints or by mixing color and thinning additives for precise results.
- Applying liquid coatings such as paint, stain, or varnish to surfaces of wood, metal, brick, concrete, plaster, stucco, or stone using brushes, rollers, or spray guns.
- Creating desired finishes by applying various painting techniques, including sponging, stippling, and glazing.
