Job Title: Senior Salesforce Engineer

Are you a seasoned Salesforce professional looking for a new challenge? We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Salesforce Engineer to join our team at Scotiabank.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex Salesforce solutions, analyzing and estimating effort for new scope and requirements, and staying up-to-date with the latest Salesforce technologies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and estimate effort for new scope and requirements
  • Design and develop complex Salesforce solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Salesforce technologies and best practices
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert and manage admin functions for Salesforce
  • Support the business team in the proper use of Salesforce
  • Investigate failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes
  • Work with product owners and test engineers to support QA processes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Salesforce platform and overall 10+ years of experience in enterprise systems
  • Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Must be well-versed with Apex, Visual Force Pages, Salesforce Lightning Components, and Integration Patterns
  • Must be familiar with integrating Salesforce with other cloud-based application systems using REST, SOAP API, Talend, Informatica, Mulesoft
  • Knowledge of deployment processes and release pipelines
  • Good understanding of packaged-based deployments, Metadata API, and Ant
  • A minimum of 1+ year experience on Salesforce Lightning Components and Aura Framework
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent required
  • At least 2 or more certifications on Salesforce from the following before joining
  • Experience on Financial Services Cloud
  • Experience with Salesforce DX
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Experience in agile methodologies like SCRUM/Kanban
