About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team at Aqua Bay Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting in the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the construction process, including loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials.
  • Work with apprentices to provide guidance and support in their development.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, ensuring that they meet the required specifications.
  • Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction, and help with drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
  • Perform routine maintenance work, including cleaning and piling salvaged materials.
  • Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites, and tend to or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites, ensuring the safety of workers and the public.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience in the construction industry is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and physically demanding tasks.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a variety of weather conditions.
Working Conditions
  • Work will be performed outdoors, in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Work may be noisy, dusty, and hot, and may involve working at heights.
Security and Safety
  • Bondable and a criminal record check are required.
  • Driving record check (abstract) is also required.
Transportation/Travel Information
  • Own transportation is required, and a valid driver's licence is necessary.
  • Public transportation is not available in this area.
