Job Title: Quality Control Manager

Aecon is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Manager to join our team. As a Quality Control Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all quality management systems and procedures are in place and functioning effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement quality management systems and procedures
  • Conduct quality audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Verify procurement documents and procured items and services for construction and installation work
  • Indoctrinate and train quality personnel
  • Maintain qualification records of QA & QC personnel on file
  • Assist with the selection and assignment of project quality personnel
  • Evaluate and select suppliers and subcontractors
  • Review and accept customer free issue items and supporting documentation
  • Provide assistance to project management related to matters involving project quality
Requirements:
  • Certified Engineering Technologist registered in the Province of Ontario or equivalent education and training
  • Minimum 15 years' experience working in infrastructure construction
  • 7+ years' experience working as a QC Manager preferred
  • Certified as an internal or lead auditor to ISO 9001:2015
  • Previous experience in Canadian and International Standards
  • Bridge, roads, transit, and highways construction experience preferred
  • A valid Driver's License
  • Knowledge of Total Quality Management and methodologies
  • Be a certified ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor or have experience in a similar quality management role for a transit project
