Production Supervisor

Job Summary:The Cell Leader is a critical role within our production team, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the cell, meeting delivery commitments, and providing high-quality products to the required specification. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to mentor and motivate team members.
Key Responsibilities:- Safety and Quality: Supports all company safety initiatives, conducts weekly safety walks, enforces safety policies, and ensures employees are trained in safe work procedures.
- Operational Excellence: Supports OPEX through weekly 5S and monthly world-class audits, maintains housekeeping checklists, and coordinates continuous improvement activities.
- Quality Output: Maintains the quality output of the cell, facilitates self-inspection, and supports the management of material through the MRB review.
- Leadership and Communication: Leads the manufacturing cell and employees, utilizing leadership tools to achieve New Flyer goals and KPIs.
- Personnel Management: Responds to personnel issues, delivers daily toolbox talks, conducts employee reviews, and maintains employee time and attendance.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Maintains the production schedule, coordinates in-station and out-of-station requirements, and schedules overtime as needed.
- Three to five years' supervisory experience in a fast-paced, heavy-duty manufacturing environment.
- Superior interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Exceptional computer and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor others and work well under pressure.
