Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Ma première école Einstein. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children in our daycare centre.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. You will lead activities, encourage creativity, and engage children in various activities. You will also guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead activities, such as telling stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
  • Establish guidelines for behavior.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours.
Requirements:
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE level 1) certification.
  • Child Development Supervisor (ECE level 3) certification.
  • Child Development Worker (ECE level 2) certification.
  • Food allergy and anaphylaxis training.
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Montessori Early Childhood Teacher Certificate.
  • CPR Certificate.
