Role and Responsibilities

This position is exclusively open to students pursuing an academic degree in engineering or a related field.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in the development and integration of software components that offer pilots a simulation environment of unmatched realism.

Our department is responsible for display solutions, visual content, and rendering, sound effects, and motion generation, as well as the development of artificial intelligence for other "players" in military simulation scenarios.

Key Responsibilities
  • Validate and integrate various technologies and solve complex problems involving several software systems.
  • Develop in a Windows environment, mainly using the C++ language.
  • Work in a laboratory under the supervision of senior members of the team.
Requirements
  • Good knowledge of object-oriented development, in C++, under Windows.
  • Knowledge of Visual Studio.
  • Willingness to work in a team of dynamic software developers.
  • Autonomous and creative person with a good sense of initiative.
  • Fluency in spoken and written French; functional level of English.
  • Knowledge of relational databases - e.g. MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge of additional programming languages an asset - C#, Java, ASP.NET, JS, Python.
  • Knowledge of tools - Angular, Visual Studio, etc.
  • Understanding of front/back-end concepts.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure web services technologies.
  • Processes - Agile development, Git, JIRA, DevOps.
  • Knowledge of air navigation, modeling, mathematics, flight dynamics, flight instruments, electronic warfare, military weapons, sensors, and communication systems.
Preferred Education
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering or a related field.
Location and Internship Details

The internship will be carried out in hybrid mode in Montreal.
