Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Team Lead to join our team at Paladin Security. As a Security Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the security operations at a state-of-the-art healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Provide leadership, direction, and ongoing coaching and training to security staff.
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure all standing orders and scheduled daily activities are carried out as required for each shift.
  • Policy Enforcement: Ensure site staff adhere to all Paladin Security and hospital security policies and procedures.
  • Shift Scheduling: Plan and implement shift work schedules.
  • Training and Development: Ensure all Security Guards have received the mandatory training.
  • Staff Motivation: Motivate staff and issue commendations.
  • Disciplinary Actions: Discipline staff when necessary and ensure proper documentation is passed onto head office.
  • Attendance Management: Manage attendance and ensure staff are meeting attendance expectations.
  • Security Audits: Perform security audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Incident Reporting: Document and investigate security incidents and complaints.
  • Communication: Communicate any concerns/issues with Client Service Manager.

Requirements:

  • Security Experience: At least one year security experience in a team lead role preferred.
  • Education: Post-Secondary education in a law enforcement/security program from a recognized college preferred.
  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act.
  • Communication Skills: Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Reliability and Punctuality: Demonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Certifications: International Association of Healthcare Security Services (IAHSS) certificate would be an asset.
  • Licenses: Valid Ontario Security License.
  • Immunizations: Immunization Record including MMR, Varicella, and 2 TB tests.
  • First Aid and CPR: First Aid & CPR Level C.
