About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our Domestic Tax practice at BDO Canada. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for leading client engagements, identifying business and tax opportunities, and developing strategies to capitalize on them.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Client Engagements: Lead client engagements for a wide variety of clients, including small and medium enterprises, and provide exceptional service to clients.
- Identify Business and Tax Opportunities: Identify, develop, and implement strategies for clients to capitalize on business and tax opportunities.
- Prepare and Review Tax Documents: Prepare and review tax reorganizations, corporate, trust, and estate tax returns.
- Build Client Relationships: Build positive working relationships with clients and effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues.
- Train and Develop Team Members: Engage in training staff and invest in the professional development of your team.
Requirements
- CPA Designation: You have completed your CPA designation.
- Public Accounting Experience: You have 5 years' experience in public accounting with a specialization in Tax for a minimum of 2 years.
- Extensive Tax Knowledge: You have an extensive understanding of relevant tax legislation, corporate, personal, and trust tax planning and compliance.
- Teamwork and Client Service: You value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work.
- Problem-Solving and Communication Skills: You display strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
