Registered Veterinary Technician, RVT

Location: Stittsville, ON

Carp Road Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician, RVT to join our team of skilled veterinary professionals. Our hospital offers a unique blend of a large network and a local community feel, providing opportunities for mentorship and additional training.

  • Completion of a Veterinary Technician or Animal Health Technician program is required. We also offer support for those preparing to write the VTNE.
  • Proficiency in physical examinations, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy is essential.
  • Surgical preparation, assisting, and patient recovery are key responsibilities.
  • Detailed and accurate patient records must be maintained.
  • Compassionate care for hospitalized patients and their pet parents is crucial.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously is necessary.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to ask clarifying questions, are required.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with colleagues and pet parents are essential.
  • A passion for learning and a love for all companion animals are a must.
