About the Role

Eaton's EPG EAS Electrical Automation Solutions division is seeking a skilled Embedded Software Test Specialist to join our team at the Eaton Americas Innovation Center in Brossard, Québec, Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute test plans, test scenarios, and test procedures for various types of tests, including functional, GUI, integration, regression, data validation, and overall system integration.
  • Implement reliable and maintainable test automation solutions to control software regression.
  • Analyze test results and identify, document, and report root causes of test failures in collaboration with the development team and defect tracking system.
  • Verify official versions of client products and ensure the quality of the end result.
  • Participate in drafting maintenance, installation, operation, and software solution maintenance manuals.
  • Contribute to the improvement of test methodologies and their dissemination.
  • Manage and maintain the testing laboratory.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in software system, black box, integration, exploration, performance, load, and regression testing.
  • Demonstrated experience in software development in C, C++, or C#.
  • Experience with IP network protocols (TCP/UDP/IP).
  • Fluency in English and French (working proficiency).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without corporate sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Candidates must live within an 80 km radius of the Brossard facility.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Software Quality Assurance Studies or Software Testing Certifications / ISTQB Certification.
  • Experience with Python/Powershell in a verification or automated testing context.
  • Experience with an automated testing software solution (TestComplete or other).
  • Experience with industrial IP protocols: Experience in setting up/maintaining technological infrastructure (networking, Active Directory, switch, LAN, etc.).
  • Experience with Agile development processes and working in an Agile team environment, using SCRUM or any other framework.
