BCGO is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Certification Director to lead our team of dedicated professionals.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our clients' financial information. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the certification process, from audit planning to report preparation.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of certification professionals, providing guidance and training on best practices and industry standards.
  • Manage the preparation and revision of audit files, financial statements, and corporate tax reports for our diverse clientele.
  • Review personal tax reports, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and support throughout the certification process.
  • Contribute to business development activities, identifying new opportunities and expanding our client base.
Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record in the accounting field.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and DESS.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in an accounting firm, with experience as a director being highly advantageous.
  • Professional designation - CPA, CA.
Technical Skills

A strong understanding of relevant technical standards and software is essential for success in this role.

  • Thorough knowledge of Canadian accounting standards (NCECF and NCOSBL).
  • Strong understanding of Canadian certification standards (audit and review).
  • Good understanding of professional standards (independence, ethics).
  • Familiarity with tax laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in CaseWare, CaseView, Taxprep software.
