We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recreation Supervisor to join our team at the Chelsea Hotel, Toronto. As a key member of our Recreation Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our Family Fun Zone, while providing exceptional facilities and services to our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Family Fun Zone, ensuring that all areas are well-maintained and that guests receive excellent service.
- Assist the Recreation Manager in maintaining all areas of the Recreation department, including event planning and implementation.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote guest satisfaction and loyalty, while ensuring that all colleagues are equipped to provide exceptional service.
- Lead and direct the Family Fun Zone team, providing guidance and support to ensure that all colleagues are working together effectively.
- Monitor colleague performance and provide recognition or corrective action, as required.
- Collaborate with other departments, including Laundry, Maintenance, Housekeeping, Human Resources, Purchasing, and Marketing, to ensure that all areas of the hotel are working together effectively.
- Previous experience in hotels, child care, and/or pool facility.
- Previous management or supervisory experience an asset.
- High School graduate.
- Post-secondary education in a related field.
- Valid CPR/1st Aid certification.
- NLS certification is a definite asset.
The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. They will also be required to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
