Job Title: Software Engineering Intern

Qualcomm is seeking a highly motivated and talented Software Engineering Intern to join our AI Processor team. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for developing machine learning-based applications and use cases for Qualcomm Snapdragon processors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop processing frameworks running on Android, Linux, and other high-level operating systems as well as AI Processor to enable AI-based multimedia use cases and hardware accelerators.
  • Test and validate algorithms for image quality, performance, and power.
  • Collaborate across functional boundaries in defining architecture, APIs, and design.
  • Explore opportunities outside of mobile, including Automotive, IoT, XR, etc.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of C/C++.
  • Good understanding of software development principles and practices, object-oriented design.
  • Familiar with computer/hardware architecture and operating systems.
  • Real-time software development concepts.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Python.
  • Experience with Linux development.
  • Experience with embedded software development.
  • Understanding of Android Native/HAL and Android multimedia frameworks (MediaCodec, Android Graphics, Camera HAL) a plus.
  • Knowledge of high-performance computing.
  • Basic understanding of Machine learning, Computer vision, and Digital image processing is a bonus.
Education:

In study towards a bachelor's degree in one of the following: electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or related field.
