Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Grade 10 Teacher to join our team at the York Region District School Board. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Grade 10 students and developing engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of all learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Grade 10 students and develop lesson plans that meet the Ontario curriculum requirements
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners
  • Develop and implement inclusive and differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress

Requirements:

  • Valid Ontario teaching certificate
  • Experience teaching Grade 10 students
  • Strong knowledge of the Ontario curriculum and assessment methods
  • Ability to develop and implement inclusive and differentiated instruction
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
