We are in search of a detail-oriented and enthusiastic financial expert to join our dynamic organization, overseeing the financial operations for a variety of small to medium enterprises. This role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and work collaboratively with the executive team.

Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee accounting functions for multiple diverse entities, including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, including year-end reporting.
  • Ensure the integrity of financial transactions and reporting through quality control measures.
  • Manage compliance with local, provincial, and federal financial reporting requirements and tax obligations.
  • Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance and high performance. Create reports and enhancements to support our expanding organization.
  • Assist in financial analysis efforts as we assess company initiatives, special projects, capital expenditures, and product costing.
  • Advise on and establish internal audits, controls, and checks across all departments.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Financial Controller.
  • Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in accounting and finance.
  • Advanced degree in Accounting; CPA or CMA designation preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements.
  • Familiarity with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closing process.
  • Proficient in accounting software and administration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Aspiring to lead a team of dedicated Accountants.
  • Leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
