Purchasing Clerk Job Description

Fancy Pokket Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Clerk to join our team. As a Purchasing Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized shop and warehouse, preparing price quotations, and processing files and paperwork.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Keep shop and warehouse clean, verify stock availability from current inventories, and compile inventory reports.
  • Purchasing: Prepare and maintain purchasing files, reports, and records, prepare purchase orders, and process purchases.
  • Customer Service: Provide customer service, calculate costs of orders, and resolve delivery and other problems with suppliers.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality control, liaise with Canada Customs, and maintain stock rotation.
  • Inventory Control: Set up and maintain inventory control system, monitor inventory levels of issued materials and stocks, and reconcile physical inventories with computer counts.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Language: English or French.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, and work under pressure.

  • Organized: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
