About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at BC Drywall Installations Ltd. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality drywall installations for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Finishing: Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Grid and Panel Installation: Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Joint Compound Application: Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Sheet Installation: Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets, positioning and securing them to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Compound Smoothing: Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry.
  • Taping and Embedding: Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
  • Stud Installation: Install exterior and interior steel studs.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to ensure accurate installations.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and standing for extended periods.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
