About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at 1586747 Ontario Inc. as a Dispatch Logistician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Activities: Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure smooth operation of logistics operations.
  • Supply Chain Management: Monitor movement of supplies and materials between departments, and perform routine clerical duties to support logistics operations.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit reports to management on logistics operations, and ensure accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll and other summaries.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper functioning of equipment, and arrange for maintenance and repair work as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory, and establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient logistics operations.
  • Customer Service: Provide customer service to internal and external customers, and respond to urgent calls from individuals who require assistance.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise a team of 5-10 people, and provide guidance and support to ensure successful logistics operations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Access, and have knowledge of logistics software and systems.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and perform tasks that require attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and physical stamina.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in logistics or a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English, and knowledge of cross-border dispatching regulations and practices.
