Job Title: Bookkeeper

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at CL Chartered Professional Accountant Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and reconciling accounts. Additionally, they will be expected to maintain general ledgers and financial statements, post journal entries, and prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Maintain financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries
  • Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports
  • Prepare tax returns
  • Prepare trial balance of books
  • Reconcile accounts
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Preferred Qualifications
  • Accounting software
  • MS Excel
  • MS Office
Work Environment

The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and have strong attention to detail. They will also be required to be accurate, client-focused, organized, reliable, and a team player.
