About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installer and Finisher to join our team at Atlas Drywall Taping Inc. as a key member of our construction crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Finishing: Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Corners and Angles: Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required, to meet the highest standards of quality.
  • Sheet Installation: Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, positioning and securing them to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Taping and Embedding: Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound, ensuring a strong and durable bond.
  • Specialized Tasks: Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied, and install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing.
  • Work Environment: Permanent position, working 35 hours per week.
  • Language: English.
