About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Underwriting Manager to lead our mid-market team. As a key member of our commercial insurance team, you will be responsible for customizing solutions for our clients, leading and developing a team of underwriters, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement underwriting strategies to achieve business goals
- Lead and mentor a team of underwriters to ensure excellent customer service and business results
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and best practices
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Requirements
- 10+ years of underwriting experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
- CIP, FCIP, or RPLU designations, or equivalent experience
