Role Overview:
The Technical Solutions Architect is responsible for spearheading the technical initiatives within projects where both the problem domain and solution strategies are well-defined. This position entails developing comprehensive technical solutions for IT-driven projects, ensuring alignment with both functional and non-functional requirements, and enhancing stakeholder collaboration. The architect will also be tasked with producing high-quality documentation, ensuring adherence to design specifications, and maintaining compliance with organizational standards.
This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing flexibility with no set in-office days. However, the candidate should be prepared to attend essential meetings and collaborative sessions as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define Technical Specifications: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document technical requirements, providing guidance on technology platforms while ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
- Design and Implement Solutions: Work alongside key stakeholders to create detailed designs that fulfill the organization's standards and address client needs, coordinating with project management to engage the necessary technical teams.
- Ensure Platform Integrity: Continuously evaluate platform design and technology choices, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain the reliability and performance of applications.
- Maintain Compliance and Governance: Assist in ensuring that new technical solutions adhere to security standards and governance policies, recommending corrective measures to mitigate risks.
- Document and Assure Quality: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
- Engage with Stakeholders: Foster alignment among stakeholders by effectively communicating technical solutions and ensuring a shared understanding of project objectives.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science) or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in IT roles.
- At least 4 years in software development or infrastructure roles.
Skills:
- Proficient in data analytics and data science.
- Experience with relational databases, data modeling, and query optimization.
- Understanding of IT service automation and production systems.
- Familiarity with infrastructure design principles.
- Knowledge of application platform design and information security standards.
- Experience in process improvement and risk management.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Understanding of systems architecture focused on availability and security.
- Awareness of technology trends and innovations.
- Experience in financial services and related areas.
