We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team at CBCL Limited. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional results for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery;
- Develop and implement business development strategies to grow our presence in Nova Scotia;
- Design and analyze structural systems for various building types, including institutional, educational, and industrial facilities;
- Coordinate with design support staff to ensure seamless project execution;
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff members to foster their growth and development;
- Prepare technical specifications and construction documents to meet client requirements;
- Administer construction contracts to ensure compliance with project scope and budget;
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise;
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions;
- University degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering;
- At least 7 years of experience in structural design and construction administration;
- Proven expertise in designing and analyzing structural systems for various building types;
- Registration as a Professional Engineer in Canada or eligibility for registration with Engineers NS;
- Familiarity with industry-standard software such as Revit and AutoCAD;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment;
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites within Atlantic Canada;
