Job Title: Senior Software Engineer - Generative AI

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Application Engineering team at CIBC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying Generative AI-based systems using Python.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop Generative AI-based systems using Python
  • Work with various Large Language Models (LLMs) and integrate them with other applications
  • Apply NLP concepts and basic data science principles to solve problems
  • Act as the Generative AI development team lead and run code-review sessions
  • Support and mentor intermediate and senior developers

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of coding standards, OOP principles, and design patterns
  • Experience in building and deploying applications on OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), Kubernetes, and Azure
  • Experience with prompt engineering and common principles to manage and use prompts effectively
  • Experience developing NLP and Data Science related assets in Python

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, Software Development or related field
  • Certifications in AI, Machine Learning, or Cloud Computing
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practice
