Physician - Rehabilitation Medicine Specialist

**Job Summary**

Island Health is seeking a skilled Physiatrist to provide consultative services in a hospital-based practice and outpatient settings. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the rehabilitation of individuals with neurological diseases, post-traumatic impairments, and amputations.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide a consulting and directive care service without night call
  • Collaborate with a full range of medical, surgical, and psychiatric specialists on-site
  • Access to diagnostic services including x-rays, nuclear medicine, sonography, CT, and MRI
  • Opportunity to work in a hospital-based practice and outpatient settings

**Benefits**

  • May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary agreement
  • Benefits are pro-rated based on FTE
  • Recruitment Incentive - up to $10,000
  • Relocation Costs Reimbursement – up to a maximum of $15,000
  • Fee Premium: 6.93%
  • Retention Flat Fee: $10,077
  • Rural CME starting at $3,000/annum in years 3 and 4 in the community to a maximum of $6,000/annum after 4 years
