**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grocery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our grocery department at No Frills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service, sales, and store management.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage the daily store operations through effective merchandising, ordering, inventory, and waste management.
- Supervise the opening and closing of the store, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support a friendly shopping experience.
- Assist in the development of the grocery team by supporting the training and coaching of all employees.
- Oversee and supervise the activity and performance of floor staff.
- Train and develop department associates in customer service, product knowledge, and merchandising.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely replenishment.
- Maintain a clean and safe department for customers and employees.
**Job Qualifications:**
- Minimum 3 years of grocery experience with a retail company.
- Minimum Grade 12 Education.
- Excellent organizational skills with a clear and effective communication style, both written and oral.
- Demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills while communicating with customers and team members.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with excellent communication to motivate and develop associates.
- Ability to learn manual and automated systems and tools.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Knowledge of retail operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and customer service.
- Food Safe and First Aid Certification are considered assets.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Must be available to work anytime (days, nights, weekends, and holidays).
