About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Baker to join our team at Dairy Queen. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods, including pies, bread, rolls, and cakes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough and batters according to recipes or special customer orders, and bake mixed dough and batters to produce high-quality baked goods.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to maintain a well-stocked bakery.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective production.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards, and make adjustments as needed to maintain high-quality products.
  • Training and Development: Train staff on new recipes, techniques, and procedures to improve productivity and quality.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • Skills: Attention to detail, fast-paced environment, hand-eye coordination, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Qualities: Client focus, dependability, judgement, reliability, team player, initiative, flexibility, organized.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position working 35 hours per week. The work language is English.
