Thompson Rivers University is seeking a dynamic and experienced nursing professional to join our team as a Bipartite, 2-year Limited Term Contract Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor in the School of Nursing.

About the Role

We are looking for a qualified individual to teach theory and practice courses, engage in service to the university and community, and contribute to the growth and development of our nursing programs.

Responsibilities
  • Teach theory and practice courses to undergraduate and graduate students
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the educational needs of the healthcare system
  • Engage in service to the university and community, including committee work and community outreach
  • Contribute to the growth and development of our nursing programs
Qualifications
  • PhD or other doctorate in nursing or a related field
  • Master's degree with current practice and teaching experience may be considered
  • Minimum one degree in nursing
  • Five years full-time or equivalent hours nursing experience
  • Evidence of continuous learning in your area of nursing
  • Experience teaching theory and clinical practice
  • Understanding of and experience in the Canadian healthcare system
  • Current BCCNM registration in good standing without limits or conditions, or eligibility for registration with BCCNM prior to appointment
