Job Title: Heavy Truck Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Truck Mechanic to join our team at Rosslyn Heavy Truck & Auto Repair Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on commercial transport trucks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
  • Discuss work with supervisor
  • Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Coach and instruct apprentices
  • Provide customer service
Requirements:
  • Truck and Transport Mechanic Red Seal Endorsement
  • Truck-Trailer Repairer Red Seal Endorsement
  • Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field
  • Other trades certificate or diploma
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a garage environment with dusty and noisy conditions.
