We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an HSE Student. As a key member of our team, you will assist our client with various tasks related to health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the HSE Professional with inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage documents, including data entry, SMC entries, taking minutes, and filing.
  • Assist with the orientation of new employees and develop training materials to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
  • Review paperwork, including PSI tailgate meetings, safety work procedures, and trend analysis.
  • Monitor and maintain the environmental program, recognizing and following company and local legislative requirements.
  • Analyze site-specific trends and incidents, reporting findings to the district.
  • Gather, review, and distribute safety-related statistical information.
  • Interpret, communicate, and reinforce project safety standards to the workforce.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to implement HSE program elements and safe operating procedures.
  • Knowledge of environmental requirements and the ability to implement systems that meet compliance.
  • Ability to plan and employ preventative measures to reduce the risks of exposure to hazards.
  • The ability to determine the cause of an incident and initiate and implement corrective action to prevent recurrence.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong willingness to learn.
