About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Consultant to join our Governance and Compliance team at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on governance and compliance matters to our leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Governance and Compliance Expertise - You will be responsible for providing highly specialized advice and consultation on governance and compliance matters to our leadership teams, ensuring that our business practices align with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Lead and Manage Projects - You will lead and manage projects of moderate to high complexity, analyzing situations and data to develop proposals and recommendations for resolution to internal business partners and executives.
  • Develop and Implement Governance and Compliance Programs - You will develop and implement governance and compliance programs to ensure that our business practices are aligned with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams - You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that governance and compliance matters are addressed and resolved in a timely and effective manner.
Requirements
  • Experience in Governance and Compliance - You have 4-5 years of experience in governance and compliance functions, with a strong understanding of internal quality controls, SOX/ITGC controls, and industry standards.
  • Strong Analytical and Communication Skills - You have excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to develop and present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Business Acumen - You have a good understanding of business operations and the ability to analyze complex business problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork - You are a team player with excellent collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
