Position Overview

The Logistics Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily activities within a distribution center, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years and less than 3 years in a supervisory role within logistics or distribution.
Work Environment

This role is situated in a fast-paced retail or wholesale distribution center, requiring the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate activities across various departments to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive reports to management.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair work to ensure equipment is operational.
  • Address work-related issues, providing technical guidance and recommending improvements for productivity and quality.
  • Train staff on company policies and job responsibilities.
  • Manage inventory levels and requisition necessary materials and supplies.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to optimize workflow.

Supervisory Responsibilities
