About the Role

As a Quality Assurance Specialist at Intact Financial Corporation, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our digital solutions. You will work closely with our development teams to analyze and translate organizational requirements into test cases, producing high-quality testing deliverables that meet our standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and translate organizational requirements, functional and system specifications into test cases.
  • Produce testing deliverables such as test strategies, test plans, and test estimates in compliance with our standards, processes, and procedures.
  • Execute test cases to detect problems, log and prioritize defects, document how to reproduce anomalies, and provide print screens to support defect reporting.
  • Ensure a high level of quality assurance within each deliverable.
  • Work closely with various departments and business analysts to resolve issues and determine the root cause of defects.
  • Provide technical advice and support to project teams regarding system problems, including production issues.
  • Maintain regression suites and create reporting of defects according to established requirements.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in artificial intelligence, data science, computer science, Earth sciences, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
  • Available to work 35 hours per week for the duration of the internship.
  • Available to work from the office 2 days a week and from home 3 days a week.
  • Must be returning to school in Winter 2025 following the internship.
  • Experience with process modeling and process modeling tools.
  • Exposure to Python, Java, Spark is an asset.
  • Exposure to Cloud services in AWS/Google/Azure is an asset.
  • Experience with Jira/Confluence is an asset.
  • Team player and eager to learn.
  • Bilingualism is essential (French and English).
