Description:

As an Emergency Medical Responder, you'll be responsible for transporting patients from emergency scenes and between facilities, operating ambulances and other modes of transportation, and assessing emergency scenes and patients. You'll also provide simple treatments and complete required documentation, including patient care reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport patients from emergency scenes and between facilities
  • Operate ambulances and other modes of transportation
  • Assess emergency scenes and patients
  • Provide simple treatments and complete required documentation

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited Emergency Medical Responder or Primary Care Paramedic program
  • Active registration with Alberta College of Paramedics (ACP) as an Emergency Medical Responder
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP)
  • Valid Class 4 Alberta Operator's Licence with no more than six (6) demerits
