Job Title: Financial Officer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Officer to join our team at DSW Canada Inc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers and financial statements.
  • Payroll Administration: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Use manual and computerized bookkeeping systems to establish, maintain, and balance various accounts.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare statistical, financial, and accounting reports to support business decision-making.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns in a timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
  • Computer and Technology Skills: Proficient in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, Quick Books, and Simply Accounting.
  • Transportation and Travel: Public transportation is available.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently, attention to detail, fast-paced environment, overtime required, and tight deadlines.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, judgement, team player, and time management.
