Engineering Intern – Expansion Project

The Engineering Intern will assist in the construction and expansion initiatives at the Candiac facility, focusing on the progress of various work disciplines on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in monitoring the advancement of multiple construction disciplines (ventilation, plumbing, electrical systems, services, interior finishes, civil engineering, etc.);
- Provide support during the arrival of specific suppliers managed by Pharmascience (including cameras, interlock systems, fire safety equipment, etc.);
- Contribute to the integration of a new electrical supply;
- Assist in the commissioning of specific mechanical systems (compressed air systems, kettles, ventilation units);
- Support the establishment of the new employee access points (cafeteria and changing rooms);
- Assist in the procurement of equipment and furnishings for the upcoming microbiology laboratory;
- Facilitate the initiation and follow-up of change control processes;
- Update technical drawings as necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficient in managing multiple tasks concurrently;
- Strong communication abilities;
- Effective prioritization skills;
- Encourages collaboration and teamwork;
- Adaptable to changing circumstances;
- Dynamic and self-motivated;
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and MS Project;
- Currently enrolled as a 2nd or 3rd year student in a Bachelor's degree program in mechanical engineering, building mechanical engineering, construction engineering, or chemical engineering;
- Possession of ASP construction certification;
- Availability for 37.5 hours per week throughout the duration of the 8-month internship.
