Job Description

Job Title: GELA Continuing Education Support Teacher

Job Summary:

The Grand Erie District School Board is seeking a qualified and experienced teacher to provide remedial assistance to students in the GELA Continuing Education program. The successful candidate will work closely with students to identify areas of need and develop personalized learning plans to support their academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to students in need of remedial support
  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to student support
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress

Qualifications:

  • Ontario College of Teachers' Certificate of Qualification
  • Qualified to teach in the Intermediate and/or Senior divisions in accordance with Ministry of Education regulations

Working Conditions:

  • Work will be conducted in a school setting
  • May require occasional travel to other schools or locations

Salary and Benefits:

  • $49.25 per hour (plus vacation pay)
