Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Sheet Metal Installer to join our team at Manpower Services Canada Limit. This is a permanent position that requires a commitment to quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work Schedule: 40 to 48 hours per week

  • Education Requirement: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Work Environment
  • Exposure to noisy and dusty conditions

Work Setting
  • Installation and service of sheet metal products
  • Shop fabrication and on-site fabrication
  • Marine applications
Essential Duties
  • Measure and mark sheet metal according to templates
  • Operate metalworking machinery for cutting, punching, drilling, and shaping
  • Grind and buff seams and rough surfaces for a smooth finish
  • Inspect products to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Provide instruction to apprentices
  • Utilize power tools and manual methods for material cutting
  • Assemble and install hoisting and rigging equipment
  • Fit and join various sheet metal components
  • Install products in accordance with specifications and building codes
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Qualifications
  • Sheet Metal Worker Trade Certification is required
  • Experience with HVAC systems is an asset
Safety and Security
  • Must pass a criminal record check
Transportation Requirements
  • Valid driver's license is necessary
Physical Demands
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential
  • Capability to stand for extended periods and perform bending, crouching, and kneeling tasks
  • Must be able to handle heavy loads and work under tight deadlines
  • Overtime may be required
