About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Developer to join our Technology Solutions Team at Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. As a Bilingual Subject Matter Expert, you will lead a team of Senior Developers and Developers, specializing in one of our platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide a team of developers in the development and maintenance of our business platforms and other applications.
  • Interface with clients to determine their system needs, document current and proposed business processes, and advise on proposed solutions and their impacts.
  • Author technical specification documents and diagrams for our platforms and custom-developed applications.
  • Develop logical and physical system models incorporating business processes and prepare clear, concise analysis documents or program specifications.
  • Create or update technical design for new or existing computer systems, including hosting, network, databases, processes, error handling, inputs, outputs, reports, and interfaces to other systems or processes.
  • Complete application development projects for SDLC implementation into production, particularly programs of higher complexity.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in roles and projects with increasing complexity in application development.
  • Advanced knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT, and predictive analytics, with a focus on Microsoft technologies.
  • Solid experience with end-to-end solution implementation, including project planning, estimation, and solution architecture.
  • Ability to accomplish multiple priorities with team members when facing competing demands for resources.
  • Experience with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations management, DevOps, and Enterprise Architecture and ITIL frameworks.
  • Proven interpersonal, leadership, and business competencies, including teamwork, facilitation, communication, presentation, influencing, and negotiation skills in both official languages.
  • Source code management and DevOps practices with Azure DevOps and Git.
  • Cloud platforms (Azure (preferred), AWS, GCP) Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, and API Management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or a related field.
  • Technical certifications in application architecture, cloud development, and administration.
