Job Summary
The Custodian (Midnight Shift) will be responsible for performing general cleaning duties inside and outside of Apotex facilities. This includes offices, washrooms, change rooms, production areas, warehouses, and laboratories. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Key Responsibilities
- Clean offices, including dusting and cleaning furniture, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and washing walls and windows.
- Remove garbage and recycling from centralized areas.
- Clean washrooms and change rooms, replenishing supplies as needed.
- Clean warehouse floors, shelves, walls, and other areas as required.
- Clean Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) areas, including washing walls, stairs, ceilings, and floors.
- Clean the cafeteria, including food preparation areas, freezers, coolers, and storage areas.
- Clean the laboratory and replenish supplies as required.
- Dispose of all garbage and recycling following proper procedures.
- Operate various cleaning machines, including floor polishers, vacuums, and floor scrubbing machines.
- Operate compactors.
- Utilize approved cleaning agents as trained.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with cGMP, SOPs, and established safety standards.
- Work in a safe manner, collaborating as a team member to achieve all outcomes.

- Adhere to all compliance programs, including the Global Business Ethics and Compliance Program, Global Quality policies and procedures, Safety and Environment policies, and HR policies.
- Responsible for attending each shift in a fit mental and physical condition.
Requirements
- Grade 12 education.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Good command of the English language (ability to read, write, and understand English).
- Good oral communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Physically fit.
- Manages time to complete assigned tasks.
- Basic computer skills (using emails, etc.).
- Previous cleaning experience preferred.
