Position Overview
The role of the Senior Fire Protection Specialist is crucial in safeguarding lives and property from fire-related hazards. This position requires a deep understanding of fire protection engineering principles and the ability to apply this knowledge in practical settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement sophisticated fire suppression systems in compliance with relevant codes and industry standards.
- Conduct performance-based design analyses and collaborate with clients and regulatory authorities to tailor solutions for specific applications.
- Develop comprehensive specifications, layouts, and hydraulic calculations for fire suppression systems.
- Lead the design of specialized fire protection systems, including water mist, foam, and gas-based suppression technologies.
- Prepare detailed installation plans, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee engineering reviews, construction inspections, and acceptance testing for fire suppression systems.
- Participate in project meetings to coordinate construction activities and resolve issues effectively.
- Assess existing fire protection systems and building conditions through compliance surveys and risk assessments.
- Generate technical reports that address fire safety compliance and recommend necessary improvements.
- Develop training materials and conduct sessions on fire protection and life safety for various stakeholders.
- Provide ongoing technical support and guidance regarding fire protection standards and regulations.
- Be available for emergency engineering services as required.
Qualifications
- Degree in Fire Protection Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Professional Engineering License is required.
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in fire protection engineering and consulting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and demonstrate a commitment to customer service.
