We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team at Magna International Inc. as a Weekend Shift Specialist. This is a critical role that requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.
Your Responsibilities
• Maintain and repair various machinery and equipment as scheduled or required, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
• Fabricate items as needed using various welding techniques, adhering to quality standards and safety protocols.
• Operate complex machinery, including lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders, with precision and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic problems, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless production operations and quality control.
• Maintain accurate records of duties performed, including maintenance schedules and quality control metrics.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team.
Requirements
• Good organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Recognized Certificate of Qualification in Millwrighting or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience working as a licensed Millwright, with a strong background in hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical presses, with experience in operating and maintaining complex machinery.
• Proficiency in welding techniques, with experience in fabricating items for production operations.
• Familiarity with quality control procedures and safety protocols, with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
