**Job Title:** Greenhouse Grower - Crop Production Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Greenhouse Grower to join our team at Kaizen Lab Inc. As a key member of our crop production team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our greenhouse operations, ensuring the highest quality crops are produced while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain Optimal Growing Conditions: Ensure that each crop receives the specific irrigation, fertilizers, and climate conditions required for optimal growth.
- Monitor and Control Pests and Diseases: Regularly inspect crops for signs of pests, diseases, or other pathogens and implement control measures as needed.
- Plan and Schedule Crop Production: Collaborate with the production manager to plan and schedule crop production, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
- Lead and Supervise the Growing Team: Provide guidance and support to other members of the growing team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Maintain current knowledge of growing techniques and technologies, attending courses, webinars, and presentations to stay ahead of the curve.
- Ensure Compliance with Regulations: Adhere to all relevant regulations and standards, including WorkSafe BC Joint Health and Safety Regulations.
- Minimum 10 Years of Experience: In a greenhouse or horticulture setting, with extensive knowledge of plant health and control measures.
- Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent leadership and mentoring qualities, with strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions when identifying plant diseases and insects.
- Legally Permitted to Work in Canada: Must be legally permitted to work in Canada.
