Job Title: Switchgear Application Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Switchgear Application Specialist to join our team at Regal Rexnord. As a key member of our Power Generation Industry team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in the domain of specialized low and medium voltage switchgear products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance to field service teams and customers on switchgear products, including commissioning, troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including Method of Procedure (MOP) guidelines and Service Forms.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering/Design Teams to ensure product bulletins and software upgrades are communicated effectively to the service team.
  • Deliver technical training programs for customers and employees on new and existing products.
  • Ensure comprehensive understanding and compliance with company policies, quality standards, and health and safety regulations.
  • Build and maintain exemplary customer and vendor relationships.
  • Participate in factory witness/shop testing and work with 3rd party equipment vendors to resolve re-occurring issues.
  • Provide feedback on issues found in the field to Manufacturing and Engineering teams.
  • Work with the Field Service Supervisor to schedule field resources and provide in-person technical support when required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of technical experience in the Power Generation Industry or similar industry.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, upgrading, and retrofitting electrical distribution systems, including LV and MV switchgear, ATSs, automation controls, and back-up power systems.
  • Past Field Service work history with an OEM or reputable service company.
  • Responsible, self-motivated, and excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional technical written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and ensure follow-up on multiple competing priorities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and knowledge of PLC and HMI programming.
  • Ability to work independently and travel if required.
