**Job Summary**

Giant Tiger is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Grocery Associate to join our team. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the grocery department, checkout areas, and stockrooms.
  • Restock shelves, face merchandise, and maintain visual displays to ensure a visually appealing store environment.
  • Operate a cash register, process transactions, and handle customer payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist with receiving and stocking merchandise, including lifting and moving heavy boxes and pallets.
  • Participate in inventory management, including counting and reconciling inventory, and reporting discrepancies to management.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals, promote products, and drive customer engagement.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols, and loss prevention measures.

**Requirements**

  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.
  • Basic math skills, with the ability to accurately handle cash and process transactions.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy boxes and pallets, and stand for long periods of time.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong focus on customer service and retail experience.
