About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our Advertiser Experience team at Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC. As a key member of our Brand Shopping Experience team, you will play a critical role in developing the shopping experiences that help advertisers of all sizes improve their brand performance on Amazon via Brand Stores.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop backend and frontend services to automate mission-critical software and services
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, TPMs, SDEs, and other leaders across BSX to shape the future of how brands build engaging stores to share their story with shoppers
  • Architect software for maximum longevity and ensure it meets industry-leading technical abilities
  • Develop and implement automated testing concepts to expose usability and functional defects in production-level code

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
