Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and caring Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dedicated care team in one of our facilities. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, working collaboratively with our team to ensure their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of residents' needs and develop personalized care plans
- Provide direct care to residents, including administering medications, performing wound care, and assisting with daily living activities
- Supervise and coordinate the work of care staff to ensure residents receive the best possible care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address residents' complex needs and develop strategies for improvement
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program
- Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of BC
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and experience in dementia care (an asset)
- Cultural education and experience (an asset)
