About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at Stratford Motor Products. As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, adjusting, repairing or replacing parts and components of automotive systems, and performing scheduled maintenance service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify and diagnose issues with vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
  • Repair and Replace Parts: Use your technical expertise to repair or replace faulty parts and components, ensuring that all work is done to manufacturer's specifications.
  • Perform Scheduled Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements, to ensure vehicles are running safely and efficiently.
  • Test and Adjust Repaired Systems: Use specialized equipment to test and adjust repaired systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Complete Reports: Accurately document all work performed, including problems encountered and repairs made, to maintain a record of vehicle history.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of automotive systems and repair techniques.
